Announcing My Mythological Fantasy Work In Progress!

In my last post, I mentioned a new story I’ve been working on. Since I’ve sprinkled bits and pieces of information about it across my various social media channels, I thought I’d make an official update with a post to tell you all a little more about it.

The working title for my new YA fantasy inspired by Rapunzel

She’s the last priestess of a hidden temple and he’s a ruthless mercenary who’s been sent on a mission to raid the Tower’s secrets.

Set in a world of priestesses, goddesses, mercenaries and mythical creatures, Braid of Sand is about Raziela and Castien, who are each working to save their respective homes from total destruction–assuming they don’t kill each other first.

A quick sketch of Raziela in her battle dress inspired by the Joan of Arc gown worn by Zendaya to the Met Gala this year.

Now, since I’m still in the early writing stages on this, I don’t want to say too much about what’s going on because so much can change from one draft to the next. However, I can promise action, adventure, magic, and heroes, so stay tuned for more updates as this exciting new world develops.

I started an inspiration board on Pinterest for this story.
